| 8361 | 2004 | Ladera Napa Valley Cabernet | “The 2004 vintage was an early vintage, with temperatures on the warmer side of normal. The low crop size contributed to the wine’s superb richness, structure, depth and varietal character. The wine has aromas of blackberry and raspberry fruit; anise with toasty and vanilla highlights. The tannin structure is full and highly extracted, but soft and lush. This makes the wine enjoyable now, and should also age well for another 8-10 years.” See complete notes for this wine at http://www.laderavineyards.com/images/local/pdf/Napa%20Cab%202004%20notes.pdf | 34.99 | |
| 1789 | 2003 | Northstar Merlot | Wine Spectator 91 Points! "Lovely, elegant stuff, smooth and polished, carrying its black cherry, coffee and spice flavors on a velvety frame, all of it lingering effortlessly on the cedary finish. Drink now through 2009" | $29.99 | |
| 8362 | 2002 | Ladera Lone Canyon |
WINE SPECTATOR REVIEW: “Rich and intense, with a tight, concentrated core of earthy currant, mineral, wild berry, sage and cedar. This one begs for short-term cellaring as it gracefully unfolds to reveal subtle flavor nuances, with tannins that give it a solid backbone. Best from 2007 through 2013.” James Laube |

| 354 | 2003 | Stag's Leap Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon | “Intense ruby in color, this lovely Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromatics of ripe cherries and berries with subtle backnotes of violets on the nose. Flavors of saturated black cherries, plums and cassis are the introduction to this intense yet balanced wine, as notes of spice, roasted coffee and dark chocolate intermingle with supple tannins for a broad, lasting finish." | 4395 | 2005 | Beresan Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon | From Washington winemaker Tom Glase, whose history after a mere 4 vintages already marks him at the top of his game. A favorite of our shop due to deep, rich, full and complex flavors. | 34.99 | |
| 8498 | 2002 | Philip Togne Tanbark Hill Cabernet |
One of 6 different highly-rated
representations of Australian Shiraz growing areas. Built to be one of
the finest examples and worthy of cellaring for many years.
“This is a wine of astonishingly high quality and exceptional value. The wine is dark purple/black in the glass with concentrated aromas of black cherry, mocha, and dark chocolate. The balanced, well defined palate introduces a rich mouthful of saturated black fruits, tar, tobacco, and toasty vanilla bean. Anywhere else this wine would be a serious contender for a winery's reserve program, but for Philip Togni it is declassified. Drink: 2006-2014." |

| 8364 | 2004 | Philip Togni Cabernet Sauvignon | "This sensational dense purple-colored effort boasts delicious blueberry, black raspberry, cassis, licorice, and olive-like notes. In the mouth, there is more creme de cassis as well as background toasty oak, structure, and tannin. I don't think there has ever been a vintage where Philip Togni has cheated anybody on flavor intensity or tannic structure as his wines always last, even in lighter vintages, for twenty or more years. The 2004 will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age, and should last for 25-30 years. It is, atypically for the vintage, front-end loaded. Score: 95. —Robert Parker, December 2006" | 99.99 |
